A Mölkky Tournament for Beginners
The Mölkky tournament “Naimol Beginners Cup in Minato Mirai,” organized by NICE MOLKKY JAPAN, will be held at Rinko Park on Saturday, September 12, 2026. This tournament is intended for beginners, with certain participation requirements in place to ensure that beginners can take center stage and enjoy the experience.
The tournament was created with the hope of establishing a culture where players call out “Nice Mölkky!” to their teammates and opponents when all the skittles are knocked down with the first throw of a Mölkky game. Let’s spread the cheer of “Nice Mölkky!” across Japan. We look forward to seeing you at the tournament!
Organization Overview & Philosophy
NICE MOLKKY JAPAN creates inclusive and enjoyable experiences through Mölkky, a Finnish-born new sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, body types, and experience levels. Through this activity, we aim to promote community connection and healthy lifestyles. To date, we have hosted three tournaments at Miyanomae Park in Arakawa Ward, which are becoming established as open, community-based sporting events welcoming participants from beginners to advanced players alike.
The name “Naimol” originates from the phrase “Nice Mölkky,” a cheer exchanged during matches to celebrate great plays. It represents our core philosophy of respecting, encouraging, and uplifting one another through sport.
